FNF: Hedgehog Speed Sonic CD brings the world of Sonic into Friday Night Funkin’. Instead of running through levels and collecting rings, you take part in music battles featuring Sonic-inspired characters.
The game includes eight songs with different artwork, backgrounds, and character animations. Some performances feature familiar hedgehog designs, while others introduce strange and darker appearances.
The characters can change during a song. Certain scenes also use zooming effects and animated sequences that follow the music.
Your main challenge is to hit the correct notes and keep your health from running out.
Follow the Story Through Three Songs
Story Mode begins with a connected set of three tracks.
Captured introduces the musical adventure. Warning continues the sequence, followed by Hunting.
These songs include scenes that connect the battles and help tell the story.
You can watch the events unfold while completing each performance. The game does not require you to move Sonic through a platform level. Your controls focus on matching the arrows to the music.

The songs have their own musical patterns and visual presentations.
Some sections allow you to follow a steady rhythm. Others require faster button presses as several arrows arrive close together.
Certain tracks also introduce character transformations and changes in the background.
The game uses difficulty labels such as Standard, USA, JP, and sowy for particular songs. These labels do not appear as four separate choices for every track.
Play Your Favorite Songs in Freeplay
Freeplay lets you choose individual songs without following the connected Story Mode sequence.
You can revisit Captured or Warning to improve your timing. You can also explore tracks such as Endless Forest and Stone Chasers.
Repeating a song helps you remember its faster parts. Pay attention to the direction of each arrow and the spaces between notes.
Learn the Controls and Keep Your Rhythm
Use the Arrow Keys to play the notes. Press the matching direction when a moving arrow reaches its target.
Correct hits help you maintain your health and score points. Repeated misses can end the song before the music finishes.
Use the Arrow Keys to move through the menus and Enter to confirm your selection. Enter also pauses the music during gameplay.
You can press F to switch to fullscreen mode.
